Distinctions

  • Has received a best poster award for poster 'Quantifying Atypicality in Affective Facial Expressions of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders', at the Ming Hsieh research festival at USC (2012-2013).

  • Has been awarded the Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) Merit Fellowship for the 2012-2013 academic year.

  • Has received an honorable mention for the article 'Context-Sensitive Learning for Enhanced Audiovisual Emotion Classification', by the EE department at USC (2011-2012).

  • Has received the Signal Processing Society (SPS) travel grant to fund travel expenses for ICASSP 2012.

  • Has been awarded a Myronis scholarship for the academic year 2009-2010 by the EE department at USC
