Short Bio

I was born in Athens, Greece in 1980. At the age of 6 I moved to Chania, Greece, where I spent most of my life. Currently I live in Los Angeles, California. I aim at a career in computer engineering and development due to a never-ending fascination with technology.

I received a Diploma and M.Sc. in Electronic and Computer Engineering, in 2007 and 2012 respectively, from the Technical University of Crete, Greece.

Since August 2012 I have been a research assistant and Ph.D. candidate at the Department of CS, University of Southern California, under the supervision of Professor Shrikanth Narayanan.

My current research revolves around the human perception of multimedia, how it leads to the creation of an affective response in the viewer and how that process may be approximated by a computer.
