Sungbok Lee received his B.S. in Chemistry and M.S. in Physics from Seoul National University in Korea in 1978 and 1985, respectively, and Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1991.  From 1991-1997 he worked as Research Engineer at the Central Institute for the Deaf in Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri.  From 1998-2002 he worked with Lucent Bell Labs, Murray Hill, and with AT&T Labs-Research, Florham Park, as Research Consultant.  Now he is a Research Assistant Professor at the Speech Analysis and Interpretation Laboratory (SAIL) in the Department of Electrical Engineering and a Senior Research Associate at the Phonetics and Phonology Group in the Department of Linguistics at USC.  His research interests include Speech Production Modeling of Emotional Speech and Speech and Language Processing as well as Human Behavior Analysis in Interactive Environment.
