Distance Learner Engagement

Human-computer systems are already ubiquitous and offer unique opportunities and challenges in studying human behavior. We conducted a study in our Experience Lab of distance learning students watching online lecture videos to see how their engagement levels varied. We have examined how video and EEG-based features can be used to predict engagement and plan to examine multi-modal predictors as well as extending the study to other types of experiences like fun and productivity.
