The USC Signal Analysis and Interpretation Lab has new PhD student and postdoctoral scholar positions available.
Requirements includes strong fundamentals and an interest in one or more of the following:
  • Signal/Image Processing
  • Machine Learning
  • Speech science
  • Human communication
  • Natural Language Processing
  • Affective Computing
  • Biosignal processing and machine learning
  • Multimodal processing and modeling
  • Programming skills
  • Systems development
 Additionally, a SAILer must demonstrate a desire to work on real problems and data, to take leadership and be proactive, show willingeness and the ability to work in a collaborative manner,   and a thirst for learning.
SAIL conducts fundamental and applied research that bridges human communication and information science and engineering in a rich, collaborative interdisciplinary environment.

Undergraduate and Masters students

We also welcomes both undergraduate and Masters students to get involved in projects at SAIL. Students with a background of or interest in any of the above listed areas are welcome to apply using the following research interest form . Based on your research interests and project needs, you will be matched with one of our projects and be mentored by one or more of SAIL's PhD/Post-doctoral scholars. SAIL has a rich experience of mentoring students from diverse backgrounds and levels, so if any of our projects interest you, do fill out the form and we will work with you to best enhance your early research career amidst your busy academic schedule!
